Costa del Sol Golf News

Complete revamp of website for the bi-monthly publication Costa del Sol Golf News newspaper already in progress.
All of the back end solutions are in place inlcuding template design, logo and colour scheme, Google Analytics, favicon, website layout and permissions, featured content, posts and pages – all courtesy of Wordpress.
Lots more work still to be done, this is going to be a big one!

Wordpress vs Joomla

After much research before updating my website the decision was made to install Joomla for my static site and also Wordpress for the blog section.
Joomla is a great improvement on the old Mambo system and is easy to use once you understand how the modules, plug-ins and templates work together.
Wordpress however is even more user friendly and not just a blog. Many of the extensions available for Joomla also have a Wordpress version. The ‘widgets way’ of positioning content on your webpage is so much easier than trying to work out where the module positions are in a Joomla template.
And finally, the Wordpress Blog pages give me a higher Google Ranking than my static site due to the tags inserted into each post.
